SEDE LOT 9 - Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia

NATURAL PROCESS | HEIRLOOM VARIETAL | 1900 MASL
WE TASTE: RASPBERRY TEA, SWEET CREAM AND A COMPLEX FINISH

THE MASTER ROASTER ORIGIN AND NOTES

This natural process from Yirgacheffe is a game changer. The reason we love Ethiopian coffees stems from their ideal locations and heirloom genetics, which are among the most diverse and stunning in the world. Alemayehu Yirdaw has this wonderful coffee pass through his steady hands at Sede Washing Station. Here, he works meticulously to increase the quality and have better preparation at his station. Berries are collected from locals and Alemayehu’s farm, before undergoing the coveted natural process. These beans were dried in the sun for 18 days, and covered in shade netting during the hottest parts of the days to ensure they retained the proper amount of moisture. Alemayehu’s attention to detail has produced some it’s common for naturals to taste over-fermented or even dirty due to poor sorting and processing but we, at Three Ships Coffee, are proud to provide this high-grade, hand-picked ECX lot that is sure to win you over again and again.

A BAGGER'S TAKE

Natural Ethiopians are notorious for filling the room with distinct aromatics of berries and sweets. This coffee produces a fragrance that fills the room similar to taking out a freshly baked creamy pie, while sipping on a raspberry iced tea. We can't seem to tell the difference. That’s how good it is.
