WET PROCESS | WONAGO HEIRLOOM VARIETAL | 1750-1850 MASL
WE TASTE: DELICATE FLORAL, CLEAN AND COMPLEX WITH A SUGAR CANE FINISH
THE MASTER ROASTER ORIGIN & TASTING NOTES
Wonago is a small region and town located in the Gedeo Area of Yirgacheffe. Coffees from this lot are produced by small-holder farmers and brought for sale to centralized markets of the Ethiopian Commodities Exchange (ECX) where they are then cupped and graded by ECX officials before auction. This is where experience, taste and skill come in to play. This Grade 1 Wonago lot was purchased and blended by Heleanna Georgalis and her team at Moplaco Trading Company. They identify and purchase the best coffee at auction and meticulously sort and blend them into lots for export. We are fortunate enough to have obtained this lot that has been some of the better lots we have tasted of the season. Delicate florals flow from this clean and complex example of what Yirgacheffe has to offer.
A BAGGER’S PERSPECTIVE
It’s delicate and clean, but can suprise you now and again when needed. It brews like we are frolicking through a field of enchanting orange blossoms. Just saying, its pretty great.
